Octocrylene (OC) is a water-resistant sunscreen agent that protects the skin from some of the sun’s UV rays.

This ingredient, a transparent yellow liquid, is made in Asia.

What are the benefits of octocrylene?

Used on its own, octocrylene is considered a bit weak. Its actual talent resides in the fact that it helps stabilise other sunscreen agents, such as butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and octylmethoxycinnamate, which is why they’re used together in our suncare range. It is also water-resistant and is one of the few UV filters that protect against UVB and short-wave UVA.
