Cocamide MEA is a thick, waxy and white substance derived from coconut oil. It is a surface-active agent (surfactant) with good thickening and opacifying qualities.
Thanks to these specific properties, cocamide MEA is often used to help support the action of the main surfactants in any cleansing product. Surfactants are partly water-soluble and partly oil-soluble. They make a rich foam and cleanse the hair and skin, dissolving grease effectively.
